Nightshift Bios
About the Band:
The band Nightshift had very
humble beginnings.  3/4 of the
band (Clark, Clay, and Spencer)
grew up together in a small
struggling suburban city named
Spring, TX.  Kelly grew up in the
Metropolis known as Eagle, ID.
Originally the band was known as
The Scottish Pirates (circa 1998).
Then they switched to Scottish
Pirates Live after they had served 2
year LDS missions (2002). Finally,
by 2003 they had switched to the
name Nightshift because they
ended up playing predominantly
nocturnal shows all across Utah
Valley. Spencer and Clay started
playing guitar when they were
about 15. Clark began drumming
at the early age of 11. Kelly started
in his early teen years.  Clark and
Kelly were known as the talent of
the group.   Clay and Spencer, were
involved much in the song writing,
and in writing tight harmonies.
Although they hadn't yet met, fate
would bring the boys from Spring,
and the Pride of Eagle together to
create a musical sensation all
across the wasatch front, the likes
of which hasn't been seen since
the days of Peter Brineholt, or John
Denver, or even the Beatles.  Their
collaborative efforts brought them
to write such hits as, I know, The
way I feel, Children, Pink Grenade,
and more.  Indeed, the band did
make waves, although short lived.
After only a year of playing
together, the band broke up.
Spencer decided white girls were
lame, and so moved so Hawaii.
Clay sought colder climes in NYC
Kelly and Clark remained,
bewildered, by the desertion.
Indeed we will miss the band
Nightshift.  They made us laugh,
but they also made us think.
